Jeder Sturzpadsatz ist individuell auf das jeweilige Motorradmodell angepasst. Die Maße sind so ausgelegt, dass die Pads erst nach den Fußrasten aufsetzen, schmaler als der Lenker sind, den Rahmen, Tank und die Verkleidungsteile am Motorrad, sowie das Fahrerknie schützen.
Die verwendeten Schrauben und Materialien haben unterschiedliche Festigkeitsklassen. Bei stärkeren Stürzen oder Unebenheiten absorbiert die Verschraubung einen großen Teil der Aufprallenergie an Sollbiegestellen. Es werden somit auch die Gewinde der Rahmen- bzw. der Motorbefestigungspunkte geschützt.
Die Sturzpads R19 werden mit einer grauen Gummikappe geliefert. Für ein individuelles Farbdesign bietet Puig die Gummikappen auch in anderen Farben zum Nachrüsten an.

Each crash pad set is individually adapted to the respective motorcycle model. The dimensions are designed so that the pads only put on after the footrests, are narrower than the handlebars, protect the frame, tank and trim parts on the motorcycle, as well as the driver's knee.
The screws and materials used have different strength classes. In the event of severe falls or bumps, the screw connection absorbs a large part of the impact energy at predetermined bending points. It also protects the threads of the frame and motor attachment points.
The R19 crash pads come with a gray rubber cap. For an individual color design, Puig also offers the rubber caps in other colors for retrofitting.
