EBC X/XC Serie - Vollschwimmende Bremsscheiben für das Vorderrad
Diese Bremsscheiben ersetzen viele der LS (Links) / RS (Rechts) Bremsscheiben und können beidseitig verbaut werden.
Der für die neuen EBC Bremsscheiben verwendete Stahl ist eine spezielle Edelstahlverbindung mit einem höheren Reibungseffekt als jener von herkömmlichen wärmebehandelten Edelstahlbremsscheiben. Mit der 10%-igen Verbesserung des Reibungseffektes wird die Bremskraft noch weiter erhöht.
Das Gewicht der neuen Serien ´´X´´ und ´´XC´´ wird durch das 6-Nietensystem mit leichtgewichtigem Innenring um weitere 5-10% verringert, was wiederum eine Verbesserung gegenüber herkömmlichen Bremsscheiben bedeutet
Die neuen Bremsscheiben sind mit dem einzigartigen und patentierten SD-System von EBC ausgestattet, dessen Vierkantnieten in den Aussparungen der Bremsscheibe unter der beim Bremsen entstehenden Hitze ein uneingeschränktes Ausdehnen des Außen- und Innenrings ermöglichen, ohne die Nietverbindung zu beeinträchtigen
Eine derartige Beeinträchtigung entsteht dann, wenn sich die Bremsscheibe durch starkes Bremsen erhitzt und der Außenring die (normalerweise runden) Nieten berührt, die den Außenring vom Innenring trennen. Mit dem neuen EBC-System wird dieses Problem verhindert, das 100% der Bremsscheibendefekte verursacht, die durch ein Verziehen der Scheibe und Vibrationen ausgelöst werden.
Was ist das SD-System? Es handelt sich dabei um das neue Vierkantnietensystem von EBC. Mit diesem System wird ein Verziehen der Bremsscheibe vollständig verhindert, die Lebensdauer der Bremsscheibe erhöht und die Beständigkeit der Bremswirkung verbessert.
EBC X / XC Series - Full floating discs for the front wheel
These brake discs replace many of the LS (left) / RS (right) brake discs and can be installed on both sides.
The steel used for the new EBC brake discs is a special stainless steel compound with a higher friction effect than that of conventional heat-treated stainless steel brake discs. With the 10% improvement in the friction effect, the braking force is further increased.
The weight of the new series "X" and "XC" is reduced by a further 5-10% due to the 6-rivet system with a light-weight inner ring, which in turn means an improvement over conventional brake discs
The new brake discs are equipped with the unique and patented SD system from EBC, whose four-rivet rivets in the recesses of the brake disc, under the heat generated during braking, allow unrestricted stretching of the outer and inner rings without affecting the rivet connection
Such an impairment occurs when the brake disc is heated by strong braking and the outer ring touches the (normally round) rivets that separate the outer ring from the inner ring. With the new EBC system, this problem is prevented, which causes 100% of the brake disc deflections caused by warping of the disc and vibrations.
What is the SD system? This is the new four-point riveting system from EBC. This system completely prevents distortion of the brake disc, increases the life of the brake disc, and improves the braking performance.
