Der Reifen hat den gleichen Unterbau (Karkasse) wie der Serienreifen. Die Lauffl äche hingegen ist zweigeteilt. Sie besteht aus einer Unterplatte mit normaler Mischung und einer Duplexplatte mit faserverstärktem Protektorgummi.
Materialien der Lauffläche:
Die Lauffl äche besteht aus einer hochwertigen Silica-Gummimischung, die sehr weich ausgelegt ist und in Verbindung mit einer höheren Kälteelastizität für die nötige Verzahnung und Grip auf der Fahrbahn (Schnee und Eis) sorgt.
In dieses Spezialmaterial sind Fasern von Rayon-Kordgewebe unterschiedlicher Struktur, Größe und Beschaffenheit eingearbeitet. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen Verbund von Filiamenten (Garnfasern und gröbere Fasern), wobei die
Feinanteile der Fasern überwiegen. Auf diese Weise wird der zusätzliche Grip auf glatter Fahrbahn erzeugt.
Technische Einsatzbedingungen:
„Snowtex“- Reifen sind mit dem für Standardreifen üblichen Luftdruck zu fahren.
Die Reifen sind vom 1. Kilometer an ohne Einschränkung in der Haftung (wie sonst bei Neureifen nicht üblich) voll belastbar.
Durch eine Feinrauhung der Oberfl äche ab Werk wird eine besonders griffi ge Gummistruktur erreicht. „Snowtex“ Winterreifen sind durch die M+S Kennung in der Reifenflanke gekennzeichnet.
Die Heidenau Winterreifen haben vom Werk aus eine angeraute Oberfläche und können somit sofort ohne Einfahrzeit gefahren werden.

Technical Conditions of Use:
"Snowtex" tires must be driven with the standard air pressure.
The tires are fully loaded from the first kilometer without limitation (as is not the case with new tires).
A very rough rubber structure is achieved by fine-graining the surface ex-factory. "Snowtex" winter tires are characterized by the M + S identification in the tire edge.
The Heidenau winter tires have a roughened surface from the factory and can therefore be driven immediately without retraction time.
