Eine kleine Einstellschraube ermöglicht die Einstellung des Zündzeitpunktes. Drehen im Uhrzeigersinn verstellt die Zündung in Richtung "früh"; entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn in Richtung "spät".
Dadurch lässt sich Einfluss auf die Beschleunigung und den Motorlauf nehmen. Besonders sinnvoll bei getunten Fahrzeugen mit Hubraumerweiterung.
Im Auslieferungszustand befindet sich die Einstellschraube in Mittelstellung. Die Schraube kann ca. 12-13 komplette Umdrehungen nach rechts oder links verstellt werden.
Der jeweilige Anschlag ist erreicht, wenn ein leichtes Klicken zu hören ist.
